Rather than rub his eyes and yawn to show that he's tired, Owen has taken to mischief when he's ready for a nap. Hence the new nickname; the monster.

One Year!

Today is Owen's first birthday! Normally I would say time flies, but considering we've been awake for most of the past year it seems like a long time. Nevertheless we can't believe how much he's changed and grown since birth.

Here is the first ever blog picture, his typical activities at three weeks of age were sleeping and generally staying out of trouble. At one year he is most happy when he is destroying yet another outfit.

 

Rainy Day Fun

It poured with rain yesterday and by mid-afternoon Owen had cabin fever and expressed his desire to go outside by slamming both hands against the front door. So we bundled him up in his one-piece rainsuit and Cousin Sedona's hand-me-down pink runners and have a few minutes of outdoor time.

The hungry little croco-gater made two stops last night on his inaugural Halloween evening.

We took Owen to a bring your own pumpkin carving party on the weekend. Here's the little crocodile having a swing.

The camera is still in the Pentax shop, so still no updated pictures. Here is one of Ann from last summer, still pregnant with Owen. This past weekend he traded crawling for walking as his preferred method of travel.

The Pentax is experiencing technical difficulties and has been sent to headquarters for repairs. The service rep. assures me the finest minds in the company are hard at work to get it up and running as soon as possible.

Hard at Play

Owen has been playing hard these days. Just after the picture him holding onto his ice cream cart was taken, he let go and stood there for a brief second and then attempted a step. Unfortunately he was already on his way down by the time he took the step, which consequently increased the velocity in which his head hit the floor. Not too worry he's ok but he did need a little time out to re-coup.
