Owen and I took a Father Son trip today up to Dakota Ridge for some snow shoeing and fun in the snow and sun.

Owen at School

Owen's class has a website and here are some pictures of him at play during school hours. The class has been skating once a week, this combined with his hockey on Saturday nights, he's become quite a skater. (ignore the fact that he's falling down in the picture).

Owen's 5th Birthday Party

Owen turned 5 on Sunday. We had a Star Wars party at the pool in the party room complete with an R2D2 cake and a Death Star pinata. The presents were a hit, especially the iron man mask which can make a room full of 5 year olds squeal!

The Loot

All in all it was a fun filled event. Owen hooked up with a couple pals and ran from house to house for nearly two hours. Theo overcame his initial trepidation and by the end was running his hardest to keep up with the boys. They were so far ahead that thye were usually on to the next driveway before Theo could even get to the door of the first house.

The funniest part of the evening when Yoda and Commander Cody waived their light sabres and a pack of trick or treaters and Theo jumped into the mix and waived his uponed fruit bar at them - A jedi warrior in training!

The Way Home

The sugar high kicks in and the boys double home on the stroller made for one.
