Big Furs Park
We took a little trip to the Big Furs Park today. Its on the usual mountain bike circuit so I see it frequently but it was the first time Ann had been up there. There are two or three huge trees and several larger than usual ones. A special park.Sunday, August 16, 2009

What a fabulous Summer day up on the Caren Range today. The Caren Range is the mountain ridge that runs along the Sechelt Peninsula, complete with old growth trees, alpine lakes and panaramic views.

Checking the Maps
Owen needed to be sure that the smoke wasn't too close to the house so Gramma brought out the maps just to be extra sure that we'd be safe.Kalamalka Lake Scenery
Coldstream sure is a beautiful place. The smoke in the air from the Terrace Mountain fire gave the sky a redish hue.
